ignoring the first two posts.. the post on Islam is interesting.. .
I thought Islam of for tht matter every other religion is a belief n belief can not be defined.. or rather should not be defined.. ok.. I hv to admit.. never been into economics or political science..but m not very sure.. wht political science guys do.. ? can u help me understand tht..?
i am from the land of diversity - but not from the largest democracy in the world...and i dispute the fact that the first two points aren't interesting - but ur entitled to ur opinion (as I said in post #1).
religion is not only a system of beliefs; it is a way of life - one that demands a particular method of living and propogates certain ideas and ideals on which to base beliefs on...
i say that Islam cannot be defined in a political sense. Apologies - I should have been clearer when I said it couldn't be defined. I guess I assumed that people would get the implication since I was talking about Islamism (which is a complete political construct) and hence was defining things politically. You're not the only one who got confused...
