I (heart) New York - the Real New York

It hit me today.

Vancouver is just a pretty face. Nothing more.

New York, on the other hand, oh New York - has multiple, grimy, sweaty, scary, fascinating layers that you keep on peeling and peeling and peeling.

I've been back for 2 hours now, and I'm already ready to go home.

Miss you NYC

I've been to New York once, in 2005 and I must say I totally agree with you but I have been told that I only got to see a certain side of New York since I went by a First Class Flight and spent a week in a posh hotel, all expenses paid visit and was driven around by chauffeurs who probably had an idea of what they wanted to show a poet from the UK. I would definitely go back though. There was a lovely restaurant called Gaia, not sure if it's still there that I remember telling my companions about, Gaia being the Earth Mother Goddess.
